Itinerary

Pick up from your hotel in Sharm El-sheikh. we drive about 2 1/2 hours to St. Catherine's Monastery by the breathtaking scenery of rocky desert of the Sinai with the natural colors and beautiful rock formations. In order to enjoy the panoramic views and to take pictures, the bus for a short break stops on the way.
The Monastery of Saint Catherine The Greek Orthodox St. Catherine's Monastery, located at the foot of Mount Sinai at an altitude of approximately 1585 meters above sea level, is one of the oldest monasteries in Christendom. At the same time it is a place where Islamic, Christian and Jewish cultural history touch. In the monastery still live about 20 monks and there are regular services are held. The library of the monastery is probably the oldest surviving Christian library. It contains over 6,000 manuscripts in various languages, including 3,000 from antiquity and some older than the monastery itself, a collection that is surpassed in size only by the Vatican.
Visit Moses water fountain, where, according to tradition, the Prophet Moses took the daughters of the Prophet Jethro.
The main church originates from the 6th century, with the famous mosaic, where is the Transfiguration Jesus. Probably the oldest and one of the most beautiful mosaics of the Eastern Church.
The burning bush, the bush, where the tradition has spoken by God to the prophet Moses, as it is mentioned in the Bible. The bush is alive and still flourishes, since the time of Prophet Moses.
The visit to the monastery museum is optional and not included in the price.
The ossuary and the garden A dead house where the bones of monks and archbishops are kept. The dead are first buried in the small cemetery and later dug up again. Your bones are then deposited in the ossuary. (Now closed)
Lunch in the small town of St. Katharine is served in a nice restaurant a tasty lunch.
Dahab city has a beautiful promenade by the waters of the Gulf of Aqaba. Dahab is also regarded as the largest shopping area in South Sinai. Take a stroll along the promenade and take advantage of the opportunity to buy nice souvenirs.
Finally, we return to your Hotel in Sharm El-sheikh.
